Discovering the Origins of Life · Early Earth · through deep time
Primordial Soup
How do molecules become a world of cells?
A drag-and-drop chemistry playground spanning prebiotic experiments, early cellular functions and an ancestral eukaryotic-cell reconstruction. Try mixtures, compare surroundings and build explanations from your own records.

- Origin-of-life hypotheses
- Endosymbiosis
Early Earth · through deep timeWhat you’ll practise
- Distinguish building blocks, polymers, membranes and the machinery that makes them function.
- Compare the same mixture in different surroundings and identify the limits of a model.
- Explain how an internal bacterial partner differs from an integrated mitochondrion.
History & the game
The first chapter draws on laboratory work in prebiotic chemistry. Later chapters explicitly jump through deep time and supply evolved molecular machinery. They reconstruct cell functions and eukaryogenesis, including disputed steps, rather than claim a known recipe for life or an exact portrait of the first eukaryote.
